Hi! I’m Sean Hofer, a Senior Software Engineer on the Customizer team at Minted, an online marketplace of independent artists and designers in San Francisco, CA.

 I’ve been with Minted for over 5 years now, originally on the Marketing team, then the E-commerce team, and now the Customizer team, where I work primarily on the development of Minted’s front-end Customizer application – the interface through which Minted’s users can personalize their products. Since joining the team, I’ve helped implement a complete mobile-first redesign of the Customizer experience, and helped introduce new features that enable even more personalized designs – like resizing, moving and inserting text and photo elements.

 I’m quick to adapt to new languages and libraries, and I have a knack for coming up with creative solutions to technical problems. I’m also proficient with web technologies like TypeScript, React, HTML5/CSS3, JSX/JS/jQuery, Python, Jekyll and Ruby, as well as mobile development platforms like React Native and Flutter and query languages like GraphQL, SQL and Cypher (for Neo4J).
